During this festive weekend, you can meet the researchers of the Public Law department in two stops in De Valk.

This stop will be provided by colleagues Paul Lemmens, David D'Hooghe, Koen Lemmens, Emma De Clercq, Arvid Rochtus, Charlotte Teuwens, Eva Albers, Thibaut Lesseliers, and Stien Dethier.

Law and climate: can the law save our planet in time?
This stop reflects on the relationship between law on the one hand and climate and sustainability on the other, and how the former can promote the latter two. On both Saturday and Sunday, you can spend the whole day learning about the research on this subject at our faculty, and join the debate on these themes. Duty of Care, Nic Balthazar's documentary about the climate case against Shell, will be shown continuously and will be followed on Saturday at 1 pm by a debate with the director and climate activist. On Sunday (11 am and 1 pm) you can follow "mini-climate cases" through moot court competitions of students.
This stop will be provided by colleagues Dorothy Gruyaert, Gleider Hernández, Christopher Borucki, Elias Van Gool, Jakob Kesteloot, Karel Brackeniers, Jing Wu, Kato De Schepper, Françoise Auvray, Simon Van Eekert, Pedro Rogerio Borges de Carvalho, Myrto Kourouni, Triantafyllos Kouloufakos, and Stien Dethier.
