1. The first round: FEBRUARY

  • Digital applications need to be submitted by no later than 31 January.
  • Selection of all applications received in the first round takes place during the month of February and the successful applicants will be informed about their admission by no later than 28 February.

2. The second round: APRIL

  • Digital applications need to be submitted by no later than 30 April.
  • Selection of all applications received in the second round takes place during the month of April and the successful applicants will be informed about their admission by no later than 31 May.

3. The third round: JUNE (For EEA citizens only)

  • Digital applications need to be submitted by no later than 31 May.
  • Selection of all applications received in the third and final round takes place during the month of June and the successful applicants will be informed about their admission by no later than 30 June.

Based on the above, applicants are advised to apply early.

All requirements should be fulfilled and all required documents should be submitted before the prescribed application deadlines with exception of the degree and proof of the English language test result. The latter documents can be submitted at a later date (but by no later than the final registration deadline). Incomplete applications will not be evaluated and ranked.

Students from outside of the European Union are advised to apply in the first or second round in order to have sufficient time to arrange for Visas and other administrative documents.

Applications will be screened and evaluated as a gathered field at the end of each application deadline. Applications are evaluated comparatively with a view to selecting and admitting the best students to the LL.M. programme.

Selected students will be informed of their admission and will receive an offer to register onto the programme. The selected students will have one month to accept the admission for the class of 2019/2020. Failure to accept admission within this time period results in the loss of his or her admission. However, admitted students who did not accept within the prescribed time period can submit a formal request to be screened and evaluated during the following rounds. However no automatic screening will take place of those who did not accept the offer).

All applications must meet the minimum requirements in order to be eligible for evaluation and ranking. Students who did not meet the minimum requirements will immediately receive a communication of rejection of their application.

Students who meet the minimum requirements but who are ranked outside the number of available places are placed on a waiting list. Up and until 31 July they may receive an offer to register if other candidates decline the offer.

Exceptional circumstances

The LLM director can exceptionally allow applications to be submitted after the deadline. However compelling reasons will have to be given in such cases.
