By car from Brussels
At our official address, Sint-Michielsstraat 6, very limited parking space is available, therefor it is advisable to drive to Ladeuzeplein, where underground parking is available.- Take the E40, direction Luik: exit "A2/E314: Leuven/Hasselt" (immediately after the exit "Bertem/Tervuren")
- On the A2/E314: immediately take exit "Leuven"
- Follow the express way (Koning Boudewijnlaan)
- At the end of this road (= before the viaduct), go to the right (= Tervuursevest, ring round Leuven); follow the ring for about 2km
- At the 3rd traffic lights (= after having passed "Naamsepoort" and "Parkpoort"), drive to the left (at "Tiensepoort"): take the Blijde Inkomststraat (direction of Leuven centre)
- At the end of this street there is an underground parking (Ladeuzeplein) where you can park your car
You can reach ICRI further on foot, from the Ladeuzeplein
- Take the pedestrian passage (de Valk), between "Streekkrant" and a pub "Ron Black’s"
- Walk through the Law Faculty until you reach Tiensestraat
- Cross this street to the Holiday Inn Hotel (Alfons Smetsplein)
- Continue straight ahead through the passageway towards a broad staircase on your right hand side.
- Take the stairs and cross the building (Paus Adrianus college) to the inner court
- Take the first door at your left hand side to enter the building (Maria Theresia College, St. Augustinus wing, MTC 109.03)
- Continue straight ahead trough the corridor, passing two double doors, to the staircase and elevator
- ICRI is situated on the 4th (top) floor (Augustinusvleugel)
By train or walking from the Leuven train station
It’s a 15-20 min walk from the train station to ICRI. When you exit the station from the central hall, cross the square and follow the main street in front of you (Bondgenotenlaan) for about 1km to the end. Enter the Grote Markt, the car-free square on your right. On one side of this square is a church (Sint-Michielskerk) and on the other side is the historic City Hall. Go left just behind the city hall into Naamsestraat. Follow this street for about 100m and take the 2nd street on the left, the Lakenweversstraat.
This takes you to the Hogeschoolplein. To go to ICRI, enter the courtyard of the historical building Paus Adriaan VI-college across the square. At the end of the courtyard, there is a flight of stairs, flanked with two large lion statues. Right in front of this staircase, go to the right and enter the white door. Walk through the hallway (past two more double doors) to the elevator and staircase which bring you to the fourth floor and the ICRI offices.
Alternatively, at the bus terminal next to the station you can take bus nr. 1, in the direction of Heverlee Boskant, or bus nr. 2, in the direction of Heverlee Campus. You can purchase your ticket aboard. Get off (by ringing the bell) when you pass the city hall, at the first stop in the Naamsestraat (the trip takes about 5 min). Take the Lakenweversstraat to the left and follow the directions given above.
