General information
The European Master Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) is an intensive one-year academic course to educate professionals in the field of human rights and democratisation and provide its graduates with practical work experience. It is a multidisciplinary programme. Students have the opportunity to meet and be taught by leading academics, experts and representatives of international organisations while studying in a multi-cultural environment.
The programme offers a full semester (September - January) in Venice, and a second semester (February - July) in one of the 41 participating universities. Students cannot select a university in their home country.
As an example of European inter-university co-operation, the E.MA is organised by the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC).
