The Faculty of Canon Law grant following civil degrees recognised by Belgian Law:
- Master of Society, Law and Religion (1 year programme)
- Master of Canon Law (2 year programme)
Doctor in Canon Law (J.C.D.) (2+ year programme)

Similar to the requirements for the canonical degree, the complete Master programme takes three years. Nevertheless, the system of education and corresponding the attendance desired for these programmes vary from year to year. Please check the Education system at the faculty for more details.
No student can enrol for the Master of Canon Law, before he succeeded successfully the program for the Master of Society, Law and Religion.
The Faculty of Canon Law has been granted the permission by the Congregation of the Catholic Education to deliver the canonical degrees of
- Iuris Canonici Licentiatus (J.C.L.)
- Iuris Canonici Doctor (J.C.D.)
Students can obtain these degrees in combination with the civil degrees at the Faculty of Canon Law, as long as they fulfil the conditions required by the Apostolic Constitution Sapientia Christiana and its norms of application.
