VLIR-UOS launches several call for projects. You can request funding for: (A) SRS – Short Research Stays – PhD+: a short stay in Belgium of a researcher with PhD: at least one month, up to maximum 3 months between September 2012 and February 2013 in order to write an article or project proposal. (B) INCO – international conferences: conferences on a development relevant topic with active participation of respresentatives from developping countries. The Flemish promoter needs to be (co-)organising the conference. The conference can take place in the ‘North’ or in the 'South’ (max. budget 20.000 euro).    (C) TEAM-projects in Uganda: development relevant and capacity building project with a budget of maximum 300.000 euro for a period of max. 5 years. The project must be framed within the country strategy of VLIR-UOS and link up with the selected platforms.    D) South Initiatives: short (max. 2 years) project of maximally 75.000 euro in Cuba, Ecuador, Tanzania, Uganda or Vietnam. Project proposals need to respond to the country strategy VLIR-UOS elaborated for each of this 5 countries.
